Pitch makes Sunday Times Tech Track 100
Congratulations to David Warburton, Martin Bowley and all the team at mobile entertainment company Pitch Entertainment Group, for being listed at number six in the recently published 2007 Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 league table.
The annual ranking assesses sales growth of Britain’s fastest growing un-quoted tech companies, in this case, for the period 2004-2006. Pitch Entertainment Group achieved 326% growth annually in sales for this period securing its top ten position in the league table.
Martin Bowley, Chief Executive of Pitch said: “Analysts forecast that the market for mobile entertainment will be worth over US $38 billion by 2011 [source: Mobile Entertainment Forum/Informa Telecoms]. Pitch, is capitalizing on this meteoric growth opportunity through global expansion, with operations across Europe, Asia and Australasia. In addition, Pitch will be launching a number of white label versions over the coming months in partnership with media owners looking to build audiences and loyalty by harnessing the benefits of combining user generated content, branded content and always on interaction that Pitch offers. The first of these partnerships will feature exclusive mobisodes of the cult TV Series Red Dwarf which will be going live in the middle of October.”
Subscribers of Pitch are able to create personalised WAP pages, upload content including pictures and video clips, update blogs and chat to other members via their mobiles at a significantly cheaper rate than standard text messaging. Pitch subscribers also have access to mobile content such as ring tones, wallpapers and screensavers.
