361 Degrees live event at Nokia World -- want to come along?
Right then Season Two of the all new 361 Degrees podcast begins this Thursday. I know a lot of people have been waiting for this next season so thank you all for your patience.
If you haven’t come across it before, 361 is a collaboration between me, Ben Smith of Wireless Worker and Rafe Blandford of All About Symbian (and now, All About Windows Phone). Together we reckon we’ve got about 10,000 listeners across all the different mediums we distribute upon. You can find the rather stimulating back catalogue of podcasts at www.361degre.es — including the one where both Rafe and I almost came to blows over Nokia strategy.
This exciting news, however, is that we’re planning a series of live recordings. Oh yes. You can come along and watch us debate with each other in a robust manner about mobile technology. And, of course, you can ask us questions. This, I think, will be the most stimulating element, especially if the questions are hard ones.
This Thursday’s event is ultra, ultra exclusive — we’ve only got 30 places because of the room size! We’ve planned it as a fringe event alongside Nokia World. Thank you to Nokia for agreeing to sponsor the first one. We’re on the look out for sponsors for our upcoming live recordings — and don’t worry, there will be a lot more space at the next ones.
If you’d like to come along, you need to be ultra quick. Here are the details:
What
Think BBC Question Time. In a bar. About mobile.
As Nokia World 2011 draws to a close, we’ll be hosting a conversation about the event, Nokia, the products that are announced and the ‘bigger picture’. We’ll kick off with a bit of our usual chat and then we’ll open the floor to questions and comments from attendees.
Please bring questions with you – we’ll collect them at the start. Any theme welcome.
When
4pm, 27th October 2011.
Starting at 4pm should allow comfortable walking time from the Excel center (next door). If the Nokia World closing presentations and speaches over-run we’ll delay the start of our event.
The private bar will be available to us for a few hours, but you’re also welcome to join us for a drink in the public bar afterwards.
Where
[ A private bar next door to the Excel centre — get in touch for the precise location! ]
