Allisblue's SMS2Mail service hits the UK

Allisblue has announced a partnership with European Telecom, to establish a UK presence offering brands the chance to implement the company’s innovative SMS2mail technology into their mobile marketing strategy.

It’s a neat idea to get users to text a keyword for more information — then ask for their email, although I’m not too sure how easy it will be to protect the concept from other mobile companies. The other arse is having to type in your really long my_weird_hotmail_address@hotmail.com email into your handset. Still, if you’re that interested in the company or product, you’ll probably do it.
