AppsFire has had enough; withdraws from iTunes App Store

AppsFire, the app discovery service has decided to pull it’s app from the iTunes App Store citing quite a few different issues, most notably the fact that it took months for the app store team to respond to some of their queries.

I like the AppsFire concept, I really do. Although it is particularly complicated compared to the likes of growing competitor, Chomp.

I’d like the AppsFire team to think closely about the other platforms out there. Everyone is obsessing over the iPhone platform — and yeah, it’s definitely a big fish at the moment. But people are still buying devices from other manufacturers. And they too need help with discovery.

I’m sure Nokia, Samsung, BlackBerry and Sony Ericsson would welcome AppsFire’s attention with open arms.
