Back from Hong Kong

Right then, that’s me back from Hong Kong. I actually filled a whole notebook with notes from the briefings I had in the city. Although I very much enjoyed the week, the only negative is that … well, it’s going to be a heck of a lot of work constructing the coverage.

I had thought I’d be able to write-as-I-went. That was fine when I met one chap in a given day (I went straight from the plane to meet Paul Costigan at Movidius). I was then able to write the piece up that night and publish it.

But when I had 5, or 8 briefings in the same day… no. I figured it was going to be more effective to do the interviews, take copious notes, then write them up later.

I ran out of time and didn’t manage to meet everyone I’d hope to so I’m aiming to do a few more telephone interviews and, all things being equal, head back to Hong Kong soon.
