And so it begins: Square Capital launches loans for customers

I received an email from LinkedIn asking if I’d like to publish there so thought I’d give it a go with this post about payment processor Square’s move into offering loans to small businesses. Have a read and let me know what you think:

I have been following payments startup Square ever since Jack Dorsey dropped various hints about the arrival of Square years ago. I remember forewarning a series of key players in the credit card industry when I was consulting at First Data. I got blank looks then.

I wonder if we’ll still get blank looks from the traditional banking world as Square launches “Square Capital”. Read more.
