BT Movio's TV-to-mobile service with Virgin

BBC One, ITV1 and Channel 4 are to be broadcast to mobile phones as part of a mobile TV service launched by BT.
So I think I’d go and buy a Virgin Mobile handset to try this out. I’d really like to spend a few weeks playing with a TV capable mobile to see how much I’d use it. I think this is one of those purchases that I need to make just to experience it.
Fraser, my younger brother, has had Sky News and various other TV channels on his Vodafone N70 for ages but only used it once — and that was only because I demanded he check it out and show me it working. I don’t think mobile TV is a damp squid per se. I think it could offer quite a lot of value — I’m just not quite sure what that would be yet 😉
So come October, I’ll have a Virgin Mobile phone that does TV.
I need to buy a Lobster 700 apparently. Not out yet. But get this: Pay more than £25 a month and you get the TV service free. Nice!
BT Movio will offer BBC One, ITV1 and E4 live – but with some films, sport and US shows removed from the line-ups.
Ah I pulled this quote from the BBC story just to point at the stupid idiots who insisted that their content be pulled from the mobile TV service. I’m sure this will be some anal copyright holder who doesn’t understand that I’ll watch it on Youtube anyway 😉
