Buy ebooks on the train via QR code advertising? I like it!

The team at Springwise published this rather interesting story from Spain:

Now the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government Railways) has placed QR codes with links to the first chapters of popular novels on its trains as part of the National Reading Plan, with the aim to encourage citizens of Spain to get into a good book.

I’d imagine that this is rather good advertising because if you’re sitting on the train bored, you may well be interested in getting hold of an ebook. Further, you may well be more likely to try one out if the first chatper(s) are free and easily available.
