Christina Domecq: SpinVox will have a million users by next year

SpinVox is on fire, isn’t it? Did you catch Alex’s post yesterday about their winning feature on BBC2’s Newsnight programme? Details are below.

I missed the programme but I knew about it — I got a ton of texts and emails from people to let me know it was on (“That service you use has just been on the news”).

Christina and Daniel, the two founders, came across extremely well. Smart, turned on individuals. I particularly liked Christinia’s rather funky hanging chair.

The key stats: 140,000 users (1 million predicted by next year). They operate in four languages at the moment with another two coming shortly (Arabic and Italian).

Christinia’s biggest excitement is reportedly voice-to-text blogging. I haven’t yet tried this out so I’m going to give it a go shortly.
