Dell Laptops and their integrated Vodafone Cards

I was helping a neighbour select a new Dell desktop to buy at the weekend when I came across an advert on the Dell site for 3g-enabled laptops. 

Oooh my. It almost made me want to buy one.  I don’t think Dell are the first to do this, however, I’ve always liked hearing about bundle deals which included a 3g card when you bought a laptop… but integrated?  Nice.  Then you don’t have to have the red thing sticking out your PCMCIA port.

For a few years, until Wi-Fi becomes a little more ubiquitous, laptops with an integrated 3g card inside are going to be very, very appealing to me.
