Do I need £229 Bose Sleepbuds?

Do I need £229 Bose Sleepbuds?

This is a question I have been pondering. You see, as a Bose ‘member’ (ever since I picked up my Bose 700 wireless headphones), Bose has been emailing me on a regular basis.

I took a look at the Bose frames and … meh. I’m not entirely sure.

But the Sleepbuds?

Hmmm.

They’re available to pre-order now for £229.95 GBP.

The Bose Sleepbuds

The whole concept is that these are meant to be a lot more comfortable if you’re aiming to fall asleep wearing headphones.

It’s an absolute nightmare doing this with AirPods or something like this, because they simply just fall out… and then you never find them again. At least, that’s generally my experience.

These Sleepbuds are ‘noise masking’ and of course wireless… I do like the idea of this.

Sleepbuds and their charging case

Here’s what Bose say:

Everyday stress. Snoring. Noisy neighbours. The news of the day. There’s plenty that keeps you awake. Introducing Sleepbuds™ II. Tiny and comfortable, Sleepbuds™ work with the Bose Sleep app to deliver relaxing sounds to help you fall asleep, and use Bose noise-masking technology so you stay asleep all night.

You get roughly 10 hours on a charge – and the idea here is just to use them in bed.

I can see them being really useful if you’re traveling (well, you remember that, right) and find yourself in an unfamiliar hotel room wanting or needing to get some decent sleep.

I do like to listen to podcasts as I’m relaxing in bed and sometimes I forget to switch them off. Should I splash out?

I’ll have a think.

I wonder just how comfortable they are? The Bose site reckons you can easily sleep on your side whilst still wearing them. We shall see.

Christmas is coming 😉
