Doing a kind deed with your mobile
How many times have you been stopped on the street by a geographically challenged stranger?
Many?
I think I’ve been stopped three times in the last month. Twice, I was the second or third attempt.
This morning, it was a truck driver on the industrial estate where I’m located at the moment. A girl walking in front of me had taken a look at his piece of paper containing a scribbled address and responded with a fake smile — and walked on.
Me? I got out my iPhone and within 30 seconds, I showed him where *we* were and then where his destination was — just around the corner.
Last time I was somewhere in Marylebone and a Spanish chap was looking for a pub. I couldn’t remember so I whipped out the E90 and found it on the map for him.
I haven’t actually been able to deliver more kindness or good-deeding than that with the mobile, to date. How about you?
