Episode 3 of the Emporia Telecom video series: Inclusive Design
In episode 3 of our Emporia Telecom series, we talk to Ian Hosking, Senior Research Associate at the Engineering Design Centre, University of Cambridge. Ian works regularly with Emporia to help ensure their products and services adopt all the principles of Inclusive Design. This is a design philosophy that, as Ian describes, many mobile manufacturers would do well to examine.
In this video he highlights just how important it is to think carefully about the end-users of mobile phones — an area of key focus for Emporia. You’ll also see Ian deconstruct the design interface of a rather bog standard Nokia — one that we all assume would ordinarily be described as ‘easy to use’. It’s rather fascinating.
