Epok.mobi launches mobile restaurant reviews (and free meals!)

Have a read of this familiar tale from Epok founder, Ron:

I’m out with some friends at a bar in London. And we decide to get something to eat. But it being London, it’s pouring with rain and there’s not an empty taxi in sight.

Someone knows an Italian restaurant nearby, eventually he gets their number, but they can’t take a booking for 5.

A couple of the others suggest some places but they’re too far to go in the rain.

So what did we do… went to a restaurant round the corner and had one of the worst meals ever.

That’s when I started thinking about creating EPok.

I thought wouldn’t it be great if you could just get out your mobile, read reviews from people, then find somewhere good to eat.

Or better still, every month someone tells you about some restaurants to try and you just know Every Place is going to be OK.

Wouldn’t that be great?

Oh yes it would!

Kudos to Ron and the Epok team for creating the service. This is an issue that I’ve had, many-a-time and I am BURSTING with reviews (positive and negative) of some of the places I’ve been to recently.

The service is beta at the moment and requires you to send reviews to them by email right now. I look forward to the ability to submit on-the-fly when I’m sat in the restaurant!
