Error 106!

I had a problem over the weekend with ShoZu — I think it was my handset or the T-Mobile data service in this area as ShoZu’s service itself was functioning fine. Basically my handset stopped connecting. In fact I was having visions of getting a phone call from T-mobile’s customer services telling me they’d stopped me using ShoZu because of the amount of data I’ve been using.

I was in mild distress on Sunday.

I can’t quite describe just how convenient it is to take a picture then click ‘save to Flickr’ and forget about it until you get to your desktop to blog it later on. I like doing this. Now and again I use the ShoZu’s internal send-to-blog service but a lot of the time, I want to sit and think about what to write first.

After about 8pm on Saturday I was stranded. I was only without the service for 24 hours and already I was beginning to think about bluetooth to get the photos from the phone. I reinstalled the application last night and this morning everything is perfect.

A few months ago, before using ShoZu, I was totally into the create-an-email mindset. That is now alien to me. It’s quite amazing how we come to rely on services such as these.

Last night while I was reinstalling the service I also noticed their version 2.0 service which is coming soon. Boy it’s looking good.
