Esendex Launches SMS Blog Update Ability
Esendex, a UK-based SMS company, has launched a new service, dubbed ‘Blog-It’, which allows bloggers to update their blogs via SMS, from anywhere. Blog-It is compatible with any blogging service that supports email posting, and is free to setup and use. The service was the result of a study by BlogPulse that found that only 1% of blogs are updated daily. Esendex supposed this was likely do to the difficulty bloggers face of being limited in methods of updating their sites.
Blog-It allows users to text their entry to 07786 204 255, and have it automatically published on the site, or merely entered as a draft for later editing and reviewing. By offering a draft mode, Blog-It can also be used as an easy way to record those random thoughts that typically turn into great blog posts.
