Ever used the 'pause' command in your address book?

Yesterday, I read this comment by Terence in response to Malcolm’s post that morning. Malcolm was lamenting the fact it’s not easy to store international access numbers on his phone. Malcolm wrote:

“For example, there have been indirect access providers around for ages, but typically they require you to dial an access number, then enter some codes, then enter the number you’re dialling. Too much like hard work – I need to select a number from my address book and press the green button.”

Terence then responded with this piece of genius:

You can store these numbers in your phonebook using the “pause” command.

For example, in my phone book I have
+44207xxxxxxxx P 1234# P 33xxxxxxxxxx
Call Provider, Pause, PIN, hash, Pause, International number.

Scroll down to the entry in the phone book and hit dial. Easy.

Not just a pretty face, eh, Terence? Very smart. I’ll need to try this out!
