Friendster President, Kent Lindstrom, doesn't know how to do that

Russell posted this comment about Friendster needing to go mobile — and picks up comments made by Kent Lindstrom, Friendster President, on GigaOm.
But then he kinds ruins it by saying ‘Mobile isn’t exactly our forte†and he’s looking to partner with a mobile expert to roll something out in the US. Is it me, or does that sound a little dismissive? Anyway, Kent, it better become your forte pretty damned quick, or you’re doomed, doomed, I tell ye.
Russell is 100% right. The war isn’t on the desktop anymore — it’s on mobile. Parading around telling people that mobile isn’t your ‘forte’ doesn’t quite work for me. Make it your forte then. Make it happen. Hire some good, good people, buy some companies, take some consultancy so that you don’t have to do a GigaOm interview like that again.

The ‘isn’t exactly our forte’ quote reminded me of the guy in the IBM spinning logo advert. Do you remember it?
