I’ve been playing about with Jaiku after James from Mobizines mentioned it.

You put a wee application on your handset. And then it does all sorts of interesting things.

For example, right now, it’s telling folk that I am generally available to accept calls because my phone has been idle for 4 minutes and is on the ‘general’ profile.

If I swap the handset to silent, I imagine Jaiku would report that my availability was ‘Silent’.

REAALLY cool.

Then it’s also picking up on people nearby me with Bluetooth. Very interesting indeed.

I’m going to look more at this service…
