Guy Sochovsky joins MACH as CFO

Now then, I have been following MACH for years. Absolute years. I have to confess I have a passing awareness of the company’s position in the value chain — I’ve been getting the press releases for a long time — and I think I’ve met one or two executives in years gone by.

They’re doing rather well. They now boast an annual $10 billion settlement capability, which is pretty useful given their job is to provide the billing glue that makes roaming, interconnect, messaging and direct billing work for over 650 operators across the planet.

Their new CFO, Guy Sochovsky, was previously head of Strategy & Corporate Development for the company and will no doubt also be drawing upon his 10 years of experience at Warburg Pincus to help him in his new role.

The company now employs over 1,000 people across 12 worldwide offices. I really need to pop in soon and say hello to find out more about what they’re doing.

I’m also rather interested to learn about their ‘open connectivity roaming hub’ Link2One. I’m hoping it may well — eventually — lead to some far more sensible international roaming costs.

Meanwhile congratulations Guy!
