Hotxt hires Ian Brayshaw (from Yahoo) and Alexis Johnson (from Shopping.com)
Just in case you thought Hotxt were composed of 2 guys, a bit of marketing and a mobile messaging application, here’s a bit of news to put paid to that. They’ve just hired some brain surgeons!
Hotxt, the new free unlimited text service, has announced two senior significant appointments to their London based headquarters. Alexis Johnson joins from Shopping.com with over seven years experience in product development and Ian Brayshaw joins from Yahoo! Mobile Search with over nine years experience in technology solutions.
Alexis Johnson joins Hotxt as Senior Product Manager and will be responsible for the concept, design and ultimate launch of all new products and supporting features. Alexis joins from Shopping.com, a subsidiary of the eBay group, where she worked as a Senior International Product Manager for the last three years in London and San Francisco. At Shopping.com she was responsible for managing the strategic long term planning of the international shopping product as well as the launch of all international websites. Prior to this Alexis worked for Epinions Inc and Mitchell Madison Group in San Francisco within the community and marketing divisions.
Ian Brayshaw joins Hotxt as Senior Architect and will be responsible for the overall concept and design of the Hotxt technical architecture. Ian joins from Yahoo! Mobile Search where he worked as the Mobile Product Architect in London. At Yahoo! he was responsible for the detailed specification of the global Yahoo! Mobile Sponsored Search offering, as well as supporting European search operations. Prior to Yahoo!, Ian worked as a senior developer and programmer for Telia and CSIRO.
