Indian TV companies offer SMS message boards to help disaster communication
Anxious about the safety of their relatives and friends following reports of serial blasts in Mumbai Tuesday, people across the country flooded TV channel message boards with SMSs to get in touch with their loved ones.
Messages flooded news channels like the CNN-IBN and NDTV as they flashed their numbers for the short message service (SMS).
