Individui's InHouse property text service sells $1m of property in a month!

Individui are rocking and rolling now. I’ve been following them for quite a while through their alpha and beta tests. I understand their service, now named InHome, has been instrumental in quite a few sales. If you recall, Individui place unique identifiers on each for-sale sign, prompting interested buyers to text that code to get more information. Just as founders Bill and Lee envisioned, it’s working. People are using it — at all hours of the day and night!

The concept is a bit of a challenge here in the UK where a lot of estate agents, putting it kindly, don’t know their arse from their elbow when it comes to property. Many of them get the local village idiot to stick up their property signs. So coordinating the correct sign with the correct property might be a bit of a problem. Not generally the case in America, where your real estate folk seem — at least from my limited knowledge — to be a little bit more switched on to the properties they’re marketing.

Here’s the gossip….

Individui© Inc. announced the company’s formal launch today offering a unique short message service (SMS) available to realtors and brokers, a technology that is widely adopted by consumers in Europe and Japan , but under utilized in the United States .  Co-founders Lee Moore and Bill Brister have created this service to help Central Florida businesses improve their marketing capabilities and find new revenue opportunities while enhancing customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty.

Individui’s initial offering, inHouse©, provides potential home buyers immediate and accurate information on listings while giving real estate agents and brokers previously unavailable leads. Potential home buyers interested in a property simply send a text message, such as ‘Info100”, to a specified short code. Within seconds, they receive a text message on their mobile device with details on the property, such as square footage, number of rooms and price. They can then request additional information or a call from the agent. This service eliminates the need for ‘info tubes” in front of homes, which many communities are banning. inHouse offers the added benefit of providing potential buyers information in a format they are unlikely to lose. Agents, who are clients of Individui, receive regular reports detailing customer interest in their listings, including mobile phone numbers and times and dates of requests. The service can also be used to provide driving directions to open houses or to set appointments for home showings.
