iPad 2 Reactions: What does David Quin of CoPilot Live think?

Here’s some perspective from David Quin, Marketing Director at ALK Technologies (the chaps behind CoPilot Live GPS navigation):

As an app developer we’ve been thrilled by the incredible success of the first generation iPad. With its new thinner design, enhanced performance and integral cameras, the iPad 2 is now even more appealing, and surely likely to retain its commanding market share over similarly specified and priced competitor devices. We think there’s still room for improvement though. From a navigation perspective, we were rather disappointed that GPS is still only available on the 3G iPad models, and we would have liked to have seen the introduction of a less reflective screen.

Overall, we are delighted that CoPilot Live is fully compatible with iPad 2 and we look forward to bringing our HD navigation experience to proud owners of the new device.  Existing iPad customers who are planning to upgrade to the iPad 2 can do so safe in the knowledge that they can easily transfer their existing CoPilot Live app.

And some context on ALK: ALK Technologies Ltd is at the forefront of the growth in demand for mobile satellite navigation in Europe, through its award-winning CoPilot® GPS navigation product family. You can follow CoPilot Live online: Twitter, CoPilot Live blog, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr.
