It's time to Tattoo your HTC Tattoo

HTC has, for years, been shipping good looking devices without reference to the burgeoning user requirements of case personalisation.

Only today I was in Sainsbury’s standing in a queue whilst an executive in front of me chattered away on his Apple iPhone. He wasn’t doing well in the credibility stakes when he answered with the phrase, ‘Darling it’s been simply tooooooo long!!!’

Then I noticed he’d encased his iPhone in a cheap-as-chips bollocks-looking plastic rubber cover.

What an arse!

If you’re going to deck out your handset, make sure you do it with a decent design. Not some £2.99 cheapo rubberised case from down-the-market.

Thankfully HTC aren’t having any of this — and have released a service for customers of their new HTC Tattoo handset:

You too can kit out your Tattoo handset with the latest designs from aspiring artists… or you can upload your own design, thus:

Yes, you too can have a Mobile Industry Review branded HTC Tattoo casing for just EURO 14.99. (New Tattoo owners also get 20% off their first purchase.)

If I had an HTC Tattoo, I think I’d actually give this a go myself.

I like the fact it’s offered by (or, at least, approved by) HTC. I think other manufacturers should be doing this — and pronto.

14.99 looks like a reasonable deal too.

I trust if this proves a successful service, HTC will launch it for the rest of their device range.
