Last Minute mobile festival guide

I know I’m slightly too old and posh for the festival circuit these days. The last major festival I attended was Scotland’s T In The Park in 2006; where I proceeded to stay in a lovely hotel and spend an evening siteseeing rather than getting drowned in the cold, wet campsite.

I’ve even started to attend stadium gigs – but this is for the Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chilli Peppers rather than Led Zeppelin.

Basically I’m saying I’m not really the target demographic for LastMinute.com’s latest venture – a mobile survival kit for festival goers – but I love the concept anyway.

As well as tips to surviving the weekends – they’re missing the need for a bladder the size of an Olympic pool – it can send updates to mobiles and has a service that ‘looks after your pictures and texts should your mobile get lost in the mud’

A bit from the release:

Using specialist content from three of the UK’s most innovative mobile content providers, Mobyko, Zygo and Texperts, the Mobile Survival Kit is designed to provide festival goers with everything they need to stay safe and keep in touch this summer.

The kit offers a range of services including contact, photo and video backup should you lose your mobile in the mud, text answers to any festival related questions and an easy group messaging facility.

MSK is available on the lastminute.com’s festival page and gives essential information on how
to make the most of your festival experience, insider knowledge on where to go, what to see and a direct link to lastminute.com’s festival page to buy tickets to all the best festivals in UK and across Europe.
