Minick launches mobile services for Nuts TV
I hope you appreciate my skillfully cropped screenshot above. The Nuts Mobile site is definitely not safe for work, particularly if you’re sat wearing a tie or have the word ‘analyst’ in your job title. Or have particularly vindictive system administrators.
Nuts? Well it’s a weekly lads-mag and popular website. And they’ve also got a TV channel, thanks to Turner Entertainment.
The gossip:
Mobile infrastructure and applications specialist Minick today announces that it has been selected to run all mobile interactions for Nuts TV, the recently launched men’s TV channel from Turner Entertainment Networks International. Under the deal, Minick will manage all consumer mobile interactions with the channel, including voting, competitions, text to screen applications and user generated content submissions.
Good news for the team at Minick… who, incidentally, I once met years ago somewhere in Shoreditch, if memory serves.
As the quote above explains, Minick are handling the TV interactions for everything on the channel and, I imagine, at www.nuts.tv.
In case you were wondering about the channel itself:
Nuts TV, produced by digital media company, ETV and featuring celebrity presenters such as Lucy Pinder, Dan Wright and Lynsey Horn, launched on 12th September 2007 and delivers 20 hours of live television each week. Broadcasting on Freeview channel 42 between 9pm – 1am, the channel features a selection of programming targeting young men with shows about sport, gadgets, cars, music, comedy, news, and girls.
