Miyowa's live with their 21st mobile operator: Virgin le France
Blessed with a GCSE French qualification — grade B, I think — I can get around Paris reasonably well. Particularly if the taxi driver speaks English 😉
My top tip for visiting Paris is to do your best French accented ‘WEEE’ but pronounce it ‘WEHHHH’. English folk always say ‘weee’. Listen to a lot of French folk and they’ll not necessarily pronounce the ‘iiii’ bit of ‘Oui’.
Further, copious use of the word ‘Bon’. Meaning ‘good’, you can get quite far in France with a few WEHHHHs and follow them up with BONNNnnnn, BONNNnnnn.
I point this out because we’re having a French moment here at Mobile Industry Review.
Miyowa, you see, have landed their 21st mobile operator as a client: Virgin Mobile France. Congratulations to PAscal Lorne, CEO and the team!
A Miyowa primer:
Miyowa created the first handset independent universal end-to-end client messaging technology (MoveMessengerâ„¢), compliant with all major existing standards and systems and provides mobile operators and communities with a white-labelled, scalable range of Mobile Web 2.0 Instant messaging related content and services.
In 2008, Miyowa introduced InTouch 5â„¢, a flexible end-to-end solution that delivers the power to grow, control and monetise the evolving mobile data ecosystem. InTouch 5 integrates the mobile address book with social presence, mobile IM, mail, user-generated content, file sharing, location services and mobile advertising
