Mobile Blogging With Wordpy and the N810 Internet Tablet
One of my New Years Resolutions was to start blogging more from a mobile position. Given that I cover the mobile industry, I find it somewhat ironic that most of my day is currently spent sitting at home in front of a laptop. I could easily pick up the laptop and go, but it’s not nearly as convenient, and considering how powerful the devices in our pockets are becoming, I’m sure there is a way to go it done.
With the latest update, I can confidently say that Maemo Wordpy and the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet is a PHENOMENAL blogging platform, provided you’re using WordPress or Blogger as a platform. The N800 with the latest software update can run Wordpy, as well, but it lacks the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which, despite having an iGo Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard, I’ve been using exclusively. Wordpy allows me to post fully, including comments, links, text formatting, etc. Since Ewan uses Flickr to host photos, Wordpy even supports uploading to Flickr from within the application, and it will automatically insert the IMG code for your specified size.
I’m still very anxious to check out the Mobile WordPress application that Ewan is having done, but in the meantime, if you’re looking for a killer mobile blogging platform, I can’t help but suggest the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet. It just gets better for me every day.
How are you living mobile while still getting your work done?
