Mobyko is as smooth as ever
I thought I should check out Mobyko once more. It’s been a while since I’ve done the virtual equivalent of a nose by the shop window and a poke around inside.
Mobyko is a must-use service for, principally, backing up your handset contacts. They also offer backup of texts and MMS content to your online Mobyko account (by forwarding from your handset). Plus there’s a rather neat Facebook application that lets you see friend photos on your handset.
I created a new account to have a look at the install process. It’s a smooth as ever. ABSOLUTELY smooth. They’ve one a brilliant job. My contacts were backing up in exactly 180 seconds from signing up online.
Anyone with half a passing awareness of how a Nokia works, for example, should be able to install the Mobyko sync profile. The on-screen guides (see the screenshot) are brilliantly produced and walk you through each step. This is a critical requirement when you’re trying to get consumers to install something on their phone and use something regularly.
If you haven’t backed up your contacts recently, stop everything and do it. Use Mobyko — or consider Zyb. But back them up!
