More New Year's Stats...

Subscription site Telecom.Paper is reporting that Vodafone Portugal did 392 million texts over the holidays, Optimus Portugal did 210 million texts and 1.5 million MMS, whilst Austrians sent 40 million SMS/MMS on New Year’s Eve.

TeliaSonera knocked up 17 million messages, a new record, according to this release.
