MX Telecom wins Deloitte FAST 50 award
Well now, congratulations to the team at MX Telecom who have just come top of the tree on the Deloitte technology Fast 50.
The Deloitte Fast 50 Awards have become the benchmark to identify the UK’s fastest-growing high-technology companies through an objective ranking based on sustained revenue growth over the past five years.

Quite a lot of mobile companies in that list. Mediaburst, Zamano, Volantis, Puca. Congratulations to them all.
Way back when I knew absolutely nothing about mobile, people used to speak in hushed tones about WIN and wapMX and occaisionally, Disdefora. Was that it? Something like that.
I remember saying, ‘what the hell is a WIN?’ and having someone quietly explain that they were an ‘aggregator’. Eventually I got with the programme and before long our company had some mobile requirements.
I resolved to speak to both WIN and wapMX (for that’s what MX Telecom were once called) to see if they could help. No one from WIN wanted to speak to me. Total arse. MX responded though. Plus, MX put their prices online. That level of transparency made it very easy for me and a load of other companies to put concepts and ideas to clients right-away, without having to arse around with sales people to get an idea of price.
I had a super time working with MX across recent years — for example, we were one of the first, thanks to MX, to offer true MMS to screen in nightclubs via a proper MMS gateway. I really enjoyed getting phone calls from them saying, ‘right, we’ve got this bit of kit, right, and it’ll let you do X or Y’ — and then applying that new piece of technology to client demand.
Ahhh those were the days! Anyway, ‘nice one’, MX.
