My Top 7 apps: Chris Martin of Powwownow

This week’s Top 7 apps is with Chris Martin from Powwownow.

Powwownow offers instant, contract-free, conference calling for individuals & businesses who want to work smarter.

Let’s have a look through his list…

Chris Martin 1Noteshelf: This is top of my list. It is invaluable and provides me with the capability to have multiple notebooks and make freehand notes, diagrams, pictures and scribbles. No longer do I have to have paper notebooks! Pages can be downloaded into JPEGs for distribution in emails or pasting into presentations.

Tech Crunch: Is a great source of up to the minute technology news and trends in byte sized pieces that are ideal for short train/bus journeys!

iMeet/Agenday: iMeet is a business productivity tool that supports instant messaging, audio, video and/or screenshare and is invaluable for staying in touch and being contactable, whilst also allowing me to fully host/participate in business and/or project team meetings, wherever I may be.

BusCountdown: When I’m working late at night and commuting back, or commuting-in early, BusCountdown tells me when the next buses will be arriving at the nearest bus stops.

ZipCar: This is an incredible on-demand service that I use several times a year, with vehicles available hourly and located within 500M. It gives me flexibility when I need to travel somewhere that is difficult to get to by public transport, and the vehicles are nearly new and well maintained.

Hailo: No more trying to flag a taxi down. The original and easy way to get a black cab in London, and I like it because I don’t have to think about having enough cash with the fare settled on my credit card and a VAT invoice emailed to me. Super easy…

Stumbleupon: When I’m travelling and need something away from pure Technology, I can get inspired with Stumbleupon firing different things at me that it knows I like…

Thanks to Chris for sharing his apps with us today. I use stumbleupon a lot on commutes, passes the time quickly and I’m always finding new blogs or websites to subscribe to that way.
