Nexus One available for pre-order on Vodafone UK

When the Nexus One launched a little while ago, we were told that you would only be able to get it from the infamous google.com/phone website — a rather interesting strategy that promised to generate pained fake smiles from mobile operators the world over.

Turns out, however, that this is not the case.

The Nexus One is now available to pre-order from Vodafone UK, on their site, like you would pre-order any other handset:

This is very good news for the legions of geeks who — for whatever reason — cannot stand the iPhone and have been looking for an Android device to really fall in love with. The Nexus One is free on a 24-month £35/month deal too.

That’s if you haven’t already decided that the HTC Legend, Desire or the Sony Ericsson X10 should be yours.
