Nokia N95 photo example. I'm still lovin' it!
I was staying at Down Hall this weekend and, alas, doing a ton of work via their T-Mobile wireless connection. I managed to take a bit of time and wander around, Nokia N95 in hand. I configured ShoZu to automatically upload any pictures I took. This one here is 1.1mb in size. There’s been a heck of a lot of commentary over the N95’s wicked 5 megapixel camera, so I won’t go into too much depth.
Suffice to say it is just brilliant. I’m delighted with it.
The handset? Ahh well it’s excellent. It really has been making me want to use a ‘mobile’ more. My primary handset is the wider Nokia E61, with *no* camera, so it’s quite exciting to use a normal mobile now and again. It’s so light, too. Fits nicely in my pocket. Doesn’t weigh heavily. Automatically locks when you slide it closed. The speakers are good enough to support me using it as a mini ghettoblaster in my room — albeit repeatedly playing the only track on it (a factory installed Moby track).
I will need to investigate the possibilities of EASILY getting music on to it.
Oh, and I picked up a 2gig data card from it after I took a few videos and found out that, at full quality, the handset’s onboard memory offered about 4 minutes of recording time. Heh.
Haven’t tried the GPS yet.
I’m delighted with the battery power. Using it as a normal phone plus camera looks like it might afford a good few days worth of usage.
