O2 can now tell credit companies all about your mobile usage

O2 changes Ts&Cs to allow call data sharing | The Register
O2 has changed its terms and conditions to allow it to share “…the date, duration, time and cost of such communications and the location of your mobile phone”.
O2 will be sharing this information with credit companies, other telecommunications companies, and debt collectors “…for the purposes of operating your account and providing you with the service…in addition to crime prevention and fraud detection”.
Another interesting one on The Register this morning. I’m not sure how I react to this. I really don’t like the idea of my data effectively being made publicly available to anyone o2 deems appropriate. However privacy is a total myth in this technical world we live in, trying to campaign against it… well, I just don’t know how effective that would be.
