‘Peter Tanner? Tanner? Tanner… Peter Tanner….’ I thought to myself as I flicked through this evening’s London Lite newspaper.

AH HAH!

THAT Peter Tanner! Yes! Founder of The Messaging Centre, SMS Text News Q&A and also a profile on the SMS Text News Who’s Who in Mobile directory.

I had a read of the article. It’s all about how integrating ‘boys toys’ into your home or apartment can substantially increase its value. Peter is shown demonstrating a wee gadget that allows him to turn lights, music and DVDs on. Neat.

I wonder, though, if he’s gonna get it hooked up so he can text ‘lights ON’ or ‘bath ON’ from his phone whilst he’s on his way back from work? Now that would be good.

Anyway nice to see Peter’s place — which, incidentally, he’s selling — the article says he’s spent a cool £500k fitting out the place with all mod cons. It’s on the market for £3m, which, by the way, would require a flippin’ great wad in the region of £45,000 just for the 15% deposit. Arse. I’ll spend that on a [another] Range Rover, I reckon. (This time, one that has an engine that WORKS)

Piece of trivia for you: How many £1.50 text messages would you need to generate to buy Peter’s place? I didn’t bother texting 82ask 😉 worked it out myself.

Let’s assume you get something like 80p back from a £1.50 message? Ok. 3 million x 0.8. You’d need to generate 3.75 million text messages before you buy Peter’s place outright. Arse.

Still, it’s a good looking place! Nice one Peter!

A few more photos of the piece to come.
