Qualcomm's Uplinq event: The keynotes & agenda is set
Are you coming out to Qualcomm’s Uplinq 2012 event this month? It’s taking place on the 27th and 28th of June and thanks to Qualcomm, I will be there.
They’ve just released the keynote speakers and the agenda.
As you might expect their top man Paul Jacobs will be delivering the first keynote. Then we’ll be hearing from:
– Aaron Levie, Co-Founder & CEO of Box
– Dr Peter H Diamandis, Chairman & CEO of X Prize Foundation
– John Hering, Co-Founder & CEO of Lookout
Plus, two of Qualcomm’s Senior Vice Presidents, Rod Chandhok and Raj Talluri, will be leading some ‘super-sessions’ on the subject of cross-platform development and Snapdragon processors (respectively).
Perhaps one of the most useful features of this years Uplinq will be “Market Match” — that’s the opportunity to meet 1:1 with operators and device manufacturers who are looking to create commercial relationships with developers. Participating companies include AT&T, Cricket Wireless, HTC, Huawei, Lenovo, MTS India, Nokia, Qualcomm, Sony, Sprint, T-Mobile, Tata, Movilnet, US Cellular and Verizon. If you need to meet any of these guys, seriously think about participating in Market Match.
The ticket cost is $375 (or approx £241). I just did an Expedia lookup and you can fly out on the 26th from London, returning on the 29th, staying in 5-Star “The US Grant” hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter (nearby the event) for £1,475 — including a US Airways flight. (It’s actually 3 flights… you can fly direct for a total of £2,543).
So all in, including the ticket, you could do Qualcomm Uplinq from London for £2k. Let me know if you’re heading out there — let’s meet!
