Raspie launches Dual Sim Windows Mobile PDA, RASPIE XD-1
Pierre Demesmaeker whacked me over a note about their new device, the RASPIE XD-1 (pictured left) which gives dual-gsm, dual working SIM capabilitiy (each tri-band – 900m/1800m/1900m).
Very cool. If you’re like me and have about 10 different mobile phones on your desk at any one time, you’re bound to have one or two ‘favourite’ sims that you need to have with you.
For me, at the weekends, I like to take one handset out with me, rather than two. It’d be rather wicked to be able to take one that contains two sims.
Dual Sim is nothing new per se — a few of my friends have sported dual sim Nokias in the past, either by design or by modification with those little sim splitter cables you can get. I haven’t heard of a dual Sim Windows Mobile (CE) device before though. The ultra wicked thing with this device is that apparently both Sims can be active at the same time. I wonder what happens if you get two calls at once? 😉
So if Windows Mobile is your thing, this could be worth a look.
You can get it direct from Raspie @ US $750.
