Russell Buckley on the money with SNAPin
I posted the previous blog in the knowledge that I was about to post this one. I came home from a night out as described to review the updated blogs and found an array of new posts by Russell Buckley at www.mobhappy.com.
His blog about SNAPin really stood out, particularly in the context of banging my head against the table at the pub in annoyance at MMS misconfigurations and consumers thus simply ignoring it.
To quote the line that reached out and slapped me in the face:
But, no problem. If SNAPin detects the wrong settings, it’ll just fix them
with an Over The Air (OTA) update. You can even then go and mess them up again
and it’ll just quietly correct them.
Followed by:
If you work for an operator, you need to call them [Snapin] now – otherwise you’ll get
stuck in a very long deployment queue as everyone realises that this is a
must-have product.
