ShoZu adds send-to-Youtube direct service
Ooooh my. Another wishlist item from ShoZu delivered.

ShoZu Inc. announced today that users of its free one-click image uploading service can now transmit video clips directly from supported camera phones to their accounts on YouTube, the Internet video-sharing site that gets a staggering 80 million video views a day.
Now I think this has been possible for a while by simply adding Youtube as an ’email destination’, however it was flakey. Not ShoZu’s fault at all — the flakeyness was from Youtube just not wanting to receive the videos for some reason. I kept on getting errors from it. I think it could well have been because I was European. That, or the fact I was sending MP4s in some sort of incorrect format.
So, I’m really excited to see ShoZu have done a proper integration with Youtube as you can see on the screenshot to the left.
I just had to give my permission to ShoZu and woosh. Now there is a ‘YouTube’ option in my destinations. I was even able to specify whether I want my videos to stay private — and select a default category for them.
I can’t wait to give this a go.
FINALLY. Finally I can take a video on the N90 then press upload on ShoZu and have it on Youtube by the time I get back to the computer.
With that kind of functionality you really could — quite literally — run a TV show from your mobile, especially since the ‘subscribe’ function on Youtube enables people to add you to their favs, so whenever they login, they can easily catch up with your latest videos. Fantastic.
