This article is a very worthwhile read to learn what’s going on across the Indian SMS to television (and vice versa) marketplace. Apparently there’s been huge outcry because lots of people voted by text along regional interests rather than doing what the judges on the talent shows told them!
Well… if you’re going to put it to a public vote, you have to be prepared to a) accept what they public say, b) edit the tv content to bias the vote or c) manipulate the numbers. Perhaps that’s me being a little cynical a la favourable Big Brother coverage which prompts one person to win and another to lose 😉
