Some Optus Australia users plagued by phantom AUS$3.18 unsolicited adverts

On her latest mobile telephone bill from Optus, she found she had been charged for an SMS advertisement that had been sent, unsolicited, to her phone.

Surely Optus can lookup their network records and find out what aggregator originated the billing message?
