'Spot The Dog' shows iPads are going to sell in their millions
I was having a read of this PR Week story and thought I’d check out the video they included relating to books and magazines on the iPad. The video is actually from PaidContent’s story about how Penguin is going to “Reinvent Books With iPad”
In the video, Penguin Books’ CEO, John Makinson, showed off just what they are planning. Do take a look. I can see millions of middle-class mothers reaching for the iPad to give their child the best reading experience possible.
Here’s the video:
I have to admit that I do like the idea of a single-function paper book vs an iPad for children’s reading — I worry about whether the child will be able to focus on a book like Spot The Dog when goodness knows how many wicked action games will be literally a click-away…
Still. The Spot The Dog experience — indeed everything John demonstrated — looks fantastic.
Would you deny your child an iPad after watching this? 😉
