T-Mobile halves roaming charges | The Register
T-Mobile has cut by more than half charges for business customers who transmit data over its mobile networks in countries where it operates its own network.
Sending and receiving data over a T-Mobile network would now cost £3 per megabyte of data transmitted instead of £7.50, the firm said in a statement.
Darren sent me a note on this. I caught the story last week and, well, I was so annoyed with it, that I just flatly ignored it.
Big sodding deal.
£3 quid a meg is still shite.
It’s still ridiculous.
Down from £7.50 a meg? Good. But I’m still staring at you, arms crossed, looking totally unimpressed, Mr T-Mobile.
Darren also commented:
Which reminds me – I was extremely impressed with Shozu of new year. I was in Finland and it kindly prompted me that it had detected I was off my home network, and had automatically stopped sending photos and receiving zucasts. When I returned to the uk, I received an e-mail that stated that they had detected I was back on my home network, and normal transmission would recommence. Impressive!
Mind you, that still didn’t stop me being whomped with a £9(ex.vat) bill for 1.2MB of data usage..
Don’t get me started.
I’ll need to do my breathing relaxation exercises again…
