The second thing I did..

The first thing I did was get through passport control.

The second thing I did was switch on my E61.

…

Nothing.

I’d done my research. T-Mobile UK have a pairing arrangement with Orange so I was expecting the device to automatically locate a network and sort it out. As I waited for this to happen, I marvelled at the ability to fly hundreds/thousands of miles, get off at the other end and be readily contactable.

Didn’t happen.

As I sat fumbling with the E61 in the back of the taxi, it just wouldn’t adopt a network. It could see them all. When I manually tried to join Orange, or Swisscom, Sunrise…anyone, it just wasn’t having it.

Total arse. I wonder if someone at T-Mobile has switched off my international roaming?
