Someone at LG sat down and said, ‘So, we’re going to do audio, and we’re going to do it well, ok?’

Clearly. Because the headset plugs in at the side of the phone and looks good. Further, that lead connects to a play/stop/pause/skip control which includes a standard 3.5mm jack for ANY headphone or speaker system.

Smart.

Now, compare this to the rubbish from Sony Ericsson or Nokia… doesn’t stack up. I’m sure SE & Nokia will improve this all shortly.

I talked over audio with one of the LG Shine training executive — Gemma Gamewell, who oversees the North of England. It’s her job to go into the mobile stores across the region and show them the Shine, the features, and the like. She was expert. That speaks volumes for LG. In my time I’ve met many an executive who couldn’t tell you a single piece of information about the handset in their hand.
