The teenagers of Clanton, Alabama, don't do mobile innovation

It caught my eye because it reckons that the young people of Clanton, Alabama, don’t like the idea of linking music and mobile. That’s clearly because they’re all sat there using five year old handsets. 😉 If you’ve got a moment, have a read. Shocking.

So much so that they reckon that adding pictures, movies to handsets is spoiling them ….

“With all of the new picture phones and phones that get on the Internet there seems to be no point to them anymore. If you can see the person you are talking to on the phone then what’s the point in talking to them on the phone. You could have gone to see them if wanted to talk face to face,” they said.With their regular cell phones in their pocket they all agreed that they would not purchase a new iPhone or any other “extreme” cell phone.

D’ya reckon they have electricity in Clanton? Or was that thought a little bit pointless when you can burn wood and get warm that way?
