Thunderhead to develop BUPA SMS text services

Private health provider Bupa has awarded a contract to vendor Thunderhead to
develop a platform to generate all communication to its UK members, groups and
providers.

The system will generate outbound documents in letter, email and has the
ability to send out SMS notifications. It will cover all communication including
standards letters, statements, as well as ad hoc correspondence such as claims
letters with its UK membership group.

’bout time BUPA. By all means send me real letters in the post, but, if there’s a problem with my body, I’d sooner know now, not in 2 days. Ergo text works.

If, like me, you couldn’t have picked Thunderhead out of a line up of document generation software suppliers, their website is here. I would imagine they’ll be setting up a partnership with a mobile messaging company to handle the text side of things. Might be sewn up already, might not.
