My Top 5 Apps: David Kelly of Meru Networks

We have another apps submission but this time it’s a Top 5 apps (you can see our other apps submission in the series here) and we have David Kelly, AVP EMEA at Meru Networks to go through his list. Here’s a little more about the company;

Meru Networks is a leader in intelligent 802.11ac Wi-Fi solutions for education, healthcare, hospitality and enterprise. The Meru open-standards-based architecture is designed to enable unified management of wired and wireless networks. Meru provides top performance and high capacity in high-density environments.

David uses the Samsung S4, so let’s get started with the list…

BA: This is a great app that I use to track and book all my flights and for my managing mobile boarding passes. I travel a lot in my job right across the EMEA region and to and from our offices in the US, so spend half my life in airports. Anything that makes this process easier is a bonus!

Whatsapp: It sometimes gets bad press or is associated with kids, but this is a great little app to keep in touch when abroad with colleagues and family.

Amazon: Another great app for someone who travels a lot and who doesn’t have any time to pop into shops and buy stuff in-store – except at airports of course. It means I can buy on the go. It’s great for getting hold of things I need and I can have them delivered for when I get back from travelling.

S Health: Apparently the ‘quantified self’ is the big thing now – we’re all measuring what we do, when and where, whether it’s exercise, calorie intake, heart rate or whatever. There are a lot of apps out there that help us do this, but I use this particular one to monitor my food intake and exercise regime.

Dropbox: What more can I say about Dropbox that hasn’t already been said? It came into our lives and now we cannot do without it. From my perspective as a busy person always on the go, it just makes it easy to send and share large photos and files.

Thanks to David for his list. Whatsapp is one of my favourite apps for keeping in touch with friends, family and even work colleagues too.
